Rachel Buehler
Rachel Marie Buehler (born 26 August 1985, in Del Mar, CA) is an American soccer defender currently playing for the Boston Breakers of Women's Professional Soccer and a starter with the United States Women's National Team.
After graduating from Stanford University, where she won numberous awards including ESPN Academic All-American of the Year, Buehler went straight to joining the newly founded FC Gold Pride.
Buehler also has an illustrious career with United States national teams, including 48 Caps as of the end 2010. In 2002, Rachel helped the U.S. capture the FIFA U-19 Women's World Championship. Her debut came with the senior U.S. national team in March 2008 during the Algarve Cup in Portugal. Buehler also won gold in Beijing with the U.S. olympic national team.
